We continue to offer restaurant services, but in a more focused way. Our Sauna & Dinner evenings take place every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the winter. Snow Igloo guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast, and cabin guests can also book breakfast from December to March for an additional fee. In the evenings, our igloo guests can grab light snack-style options, such as pizza slices, and we’re happy to arrange meeting caterings, and group dinners on request.
Our winter season team is now complete – and we can’t wait to introduce them to you soon!

Preparing for the Winter Wonderland
Autumn in Lapland is always busy with preparations: cleaning our properties and yard areas, doing office work, training and riding our horses, and occasionally taking a small break before the season begins.
At the moment, our young horses Olga and Avalon are both three years old. Their training is still ongoing, with the goal that they’ll be ready to take guests on rides through the snowy forests by the 2026–2027 winter season.
This coming winter, our guest horses will once again be Roy, Oliver, and Hippu. Among all our activities, horseback riding excursions have the smallest capacity, so if you dream of riding through snowy Lapland landscapes, we recommend booking early to secure your spot.

Morning Horse Ranch Experience – For All Animal Lovers
For all animal lovers and horse enthusiasts, we’re excited to offer a unique activity called the Morning Horse Ranch Experience.
During this experience, guests won’t ride the horses – instead, you’ll get an authentic insight into our everyday life at the ranch. You’ll meet our friendly horses, help with daily stable routines, and learn about horse behavior and how we humans can communicate with horses in practice.
You’ll also discover what it takes to care for horses above the Arctic Circle, where the long winter nights and snowy landscapes make life both challenging and magical.
This experience is family-friendly and perfect for anyone – whether you already have horse experience or are meeting horses for the very first time. It’s a gentle, educational, and heartwarming way to connect with Lapland’s animals and lifestyle.
Life at the Ranch
In September, we were lucky to have Emma, an animal care student, join us for her internship. She helped with stable work and even got to join us for a few rides. This autumn, Kaisa, a horse care student, is assisting us a few days a week during October and November.
September also brought moments of sadness. We had to say goodbye to old Finnhorse Metu, who passed away at the age of 28. Metu was a true family member, and his loss left a big emptiness in our hearts. Hippu missed him dearly at first, but we’re grateful that Olga and Avalon have warmly welcomed Hippu into their little herd.
In memoriam Metu
Amidst all the emotions, September also gifted us with stunning Northern Lights dancing across the Arctic sky – a beautiful reminder of the magic that surrounds life here in Lapland.

See you soon under the Arctic sky!
